Can my computer run these demos?
These demos will run on either a Mac or PC. You'll need a fast and fairly up-to-date machine, with plenty of RAM, to run them. That's because every patch incorporates some CPU-hungry, real-time processing of sound and graphics. You also need two pieces of free software: Quicktime and Audacity. See details on the next page.
Mac users need OSX 10.3.9 or later and PC users need to be using Windows XP (these patches may also work on Vista). Your computer also needs to be capable of playing sounds.
Sound card
Your computer needs to be equipped with a soundcard. If you can play CDs and sound files on your computer, then you have one! Ideally, the soundcard should be ASIO compatible, as ASIO cards are less likely to introduce glitches and latency (time-lag).
Please check the full list of minimum requirements here. I can't guarantee that your computer will play these patches if it meets this spec. But this list should be a pretty good guide.
